FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 20, 1999
Complete Business Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:CBSI) announced today that its offshore development centers in India have achieved a Level 5 Maturity Rating, the highest maturity level possible. This designation, set by the Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model (CMM)(R), was conducted by Global Systems Technology, an authorized assessment agency based in San Diego, California.
The Capability Maturity Model for Software is a model for determining the maturity of an organization's software engineering and management processes, with Level 5 designation as the most rigorous. CBSI is one of only 19 organizations worldwide to achieve this level, demonstrating successful implementation of 18 key process areas including defect prevention, technology change management and process change management.
Richard Knudson, Principal of Global Systems Technology, performed the assessment. He said, "By achieving Level 5 parameters, CBSI has distinguished itself as a premier organization driven to improve the delivery performance of solutions and services. After months of re-engineering their processes to optimize performance, CMM standards were used as a basis for comparative analysis and process optimization. As a result, CBSI has proven its software engineering and management processes are extremely efficient in managing project costs and delivery for its customers."
Raj Vattikuti, President and CEO of CBSI said, "This Level 5 rating differentiates us from the competition, as more customers are demanding this type of strict quality assurance in all areas, including E-Business. It is a key component for increasing demand of our offshore delivery centers and further reinforces our commitment to deliver high quality services and value to our clients worldwide."
"The CMM assessment process was very strict. Passing it enhances our best practices approach for delivering quality offshore services," said K. Subrahmaniam, Executive Vice President of Operations and Quality for CBS,India.
