Home Federal Bancorp Elects New Director

SEYMOUR, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 21, 1999

Home Federal Bancorp announces the election of Gregory J. Pence, President of Kiel Brothers Oil Company, Inc. and KP Oil Company, Inc., to the Board of Directors of Home Federal Bancorp and its subsidiary, Home Federal Savings Bank.

Mr. Pence has served in a variety of capacities within the oil industry. He currently is President of Kiel Brothers Oil Company and KP Oil Company. He joined Kiel Brothers in 1988 as a vice president and later was promoted to executive vice president before being elected to his current position as president in 1999. Prior to joining Kiel Brothers, he was employed by Marathon Oil and Unocal Corporation. Mr. Pence served in the United States Marine Corps for four years earning the rank of first lieutenant.

Mr. Pence earned a masters of business administration from Loyola University of Chicago in 1983, where he held a fellowship. He earned a bachelors of science in accounting from Loyola University of Chicago in 1982 and earned a bachelors of arts from the same institution in 1980.

Mr. Pence is a member of the St. Meinrad Board of Overseers, St. Bartholomew Parish, Indiana Petroleum and Convenience Association, Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, Marathon Jobber Council and Unocal Jobber Council. Gregory and his wife, Denise, have four children, Nicole, Lauran, Emily and John. They reside in Columbus.
