BOTHELL, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 3, 1999--

Teltone Corporation, a leading provider of software-based telecommuting solutions, announced today that it has been selected to showcase its OfficeLink 2000 remote-voice software in Technology Marketing Corporation's (TMC) "Office of the Future" product demo at CTI Expo, held December 7-9 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Teltone's inclusion in this invitation-only demonstration underscores the growing importance teleworking tools are, and will increasingly be, playing in work environments.

"Teltone's inclusion in this demonstration emphasizes the growing role of telework and the success of the OfficeLink 2000 solution," commented Mark Blazek, vice president, sales and marketing, Teltone Corporation. "As more employers and employees seek flexible work options and ways to improve customer service, the need for an effective telework solution has increasingly become more important."

According to the Pelorus Group's "1999 Call Center Survey" report, respondents with call centers having work-at-home agents will increase from 8.5% in 1999 to 27.9% in 2001, and respondents with remote sites will increase to 22.6% by 2001.

OfficeLink 2000 delivers to work-at-home call center and service agents all the functionality and features found on the digital phones located at their company's on-site facilities. In addition, OfficeLink 2000 makes it easier than ever for call center and support managers to monitor and report on the progress of their home or remote office workers.

The "Office Of The Future" demonstration brings together the latest computer-telephony integration (CTI) technologies in an office setting on the exhibit hall floor. Through demonstrations involving live workers, attendees will discover how technologies compliment one another to make offices more efficient.

"In the ever-changing voice/data convergence market people are challenged with trying to make sense of all the technology solutions out there," stated Rich Tehrani, CTI EXPO conference co-chairman. "This real-world demonstration is designed to provide attendees with a forum that will demonstrate how these solutions can work together and improve the way people access and use information."

Eleven companies were invited to participate in the product demonstration, and ten companies will be demonstrating. In addition to Teltone, participants include PakNetX, Praxon, Picazo, Active Voice, SilCom, WhitePine, Quintus, Phonetic Systems and Bright Arrow. Teltone will be located at booth #1345F of the Office of the Future demonstration theatre, and will also be demonstrating its solutions at its own booth #237.
