Quad MT-30 High Speed Matrix Random-access Tray Handler Provides Speed and Flexibility for Quad 'Q' Series IC Placement Systems

Quad Systems Corporation (NASDAQ:QSYS), a leading supplier of surface mount technology (SMT) and advanced packaging technology (APT) assembly systems, recently introduced the MT-30(TM) High Speed Matrix Tray Handler.

The Quad MT-30 Tray Handler offers high speed QFP, BGA and TSOP component presentation, enabling manufacturers to take full advantage of Quad "Q" Series SMT Assembler throughput capabilities. The MT-30 presents up to 30 different component types, two on each of its 15 levels.

The tray handler picks components from the handler and presents them to the assembler on a narrow pedestal. This design requires only one-third of the feeder space required for full tray presentation and allows users to assemble wider boards than ever before. A built-in return parts conveyor removes parts with bent leads.
