Warner-Lambert Pleased With Delaware Court of Chancery Decision to Expedite Hearing to Terminate Lipitor Agreements

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 3, 1999--

Warner-Lambert Company said today it was pleased with the decision of the Delaware Court of Chancery to schedule an April 10, 2000 hearing of its counterclaim against Pfizer seeking a declaratory judgement that Warner-Lambert is entitled to terminate the Lipitor (R) agreements. The court acted in response to Warner-Lambert's motion requesting a trial date.

Warner-Lambert reiterated that the objective of its counterclaim is to create value for the Warner-Lambert shareholders.
