Business Wire, Dec 7, 1999

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 7, 1999--

Investors in Neon Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:NESY) are banking on a burst of software spending in Y2K. After a March IPO, the Internet company beat analysts' earnings estimates for the June quarter, the first of its fiscal year, by more than 40%.

The newest program is Version 4.5 of HALO SSO, released in late October. Quoting an official of Microsoft, the December issue of Mainframe Computing magazine said it "ranks high in breaking down security clearance interoperability barriers between Windows and mainframe platforms."
