Viant Selected by Media Metrix for Client Delivery System; New system to deliver comprehensive data covering complete digital media

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--December 7, 1999--
Viant Corporation (Nasdaq: VIAN) today announced that Media Metrix, Inc. (Nasdaq: MMXI) has selected the Company to provide business strategy, creative design, and technology implementation for an online client data delivery system. Media Metrix, a leader in Internet and digital media measurement, plans to launch the new system in the first quarter of 2000. The new system is intended to help Media Metrix's customers make better business decisions by giving them online access, through a customizable, easy-to-use interface, to the company's extensive database of clickstream usage behavior and three-year trends.
In the recently completed first phase of the project, Viant worked with Media Metrix to refine the goals of the system, which include enabling clients to obtain qualitative and quantitative information on online media usage and providing clients with access to powerful analytical tools to manipulate data to suit their business needs. Media Metrix also intends to offer a variety of customer services through the site, such as the ability to perform trend analysis, build and save custom report definitions, and download reports into a format readily available for further analysis or to incorporate in a presentation.
