eBay and iTrack Sign License Agreement; Multi-site, email-based auction tracker latest sanction by online trading community

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSISNESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 1999--

iTrack (TM), a Cosmoz.com company (OTC BB: CMOZ), today announced it has signed a license agreement with eBay(R) Inc. (NASDAQ: EBAY), the Internet's leading personal online trading community. Delivering a unique twist to the search for auction items online, iTrack sends a custom email notification to subscribers opting to search across multiple auction sites. With the addition of eBay, iTrack now offers tracking across all of the largest auction sites on the Web, including Yahoo!, Amazon.com, MSN, OnSale, Egghead, Auction.com, Haggle Online and ZDNet.

iTrack (www.itrack.com) lets users track auctions for free, choose the frequency of their email reports, and tailor their searches to best match the search engine functionality of their favorite auction site.

"We are delighted to be working with iTrack," said Richard Rock, eBay's director of business development. "iTrack understands our concerns regarding unauthorized "deeplinking" to eBay search results and the problems that arise when such listings are displayed in an incomplete or confusing manner."

"We are pleased to forge this relationship with eBay. It is important to us to deliver what our subscribers want most - the ability to quickly search all of the top auction sites on the Web. Our email notification service alerts a user when a favorite or highly sought item is found. With the addition of eBay, we believe that iTrack continues to be the best bidders' tool on the Web," stated Dave Taylor, founder and president of iTrack

"For a modest licensing fee, this agreement enables iTrack to provide access to complete and accurate eBay search results and the flexibility to implement the service over time," Rock said.

iTrack reports display search results based on the auction sites and keywords each user chooses. First time subscribers receive an initial report displaying all current results located for a particular item they are seeking, by auction site. In all subsequent reports, the user only receives auction listings that have been added since their last iTrack report. This allows users to be notified when a new listing is added to their favorite auction site without having to perform repeated, time-consuming searches.

"We believe a relationship with eBay is in the best interest of everyone involved in online auctions. They are the category leader and a source for some of the best deals on the Web. For the bidder, iTrack now offers the most comprehensive service and access to the widest selection of auction items online. For the seller, we extend their items to a wider audience," said Taylor.

Launched in June 1999, iTrack is the only multi-site email notification search service. iTrack features an intelligent agent, Tommy Tracker (SM), that helps users tailor their search parameters across multiple auction sites. "Many auction sites have vastly different search engine technologies and functionality. By assisting the user with their single keyword and multi-keyword searches, we can help them produce more accurate search results," said Susan M. Cooney, Vice President of Marketing for iTrack.
