Olin Board of Directors Elects John L. McIntosh President of Chlor Alkali Products Division

NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 1, 1999--Olin Corporation's Board of Directors has elected John L. McIntosh Corporate Vice President and President of the company's Chlor Alkali Products Division.
In his new post, Mr. McIntosh will have overall operational responsibility for the Chlor Alkali Products Division, which is headquartered in Cleveland, Tenn., and is the leading producer of chlorine and caustic soda in the eastern United States.
A 22-year Olin veteran, Mr. McIntosh was previously Vice President, Operations, for Olin's Specialty Chemical operations. He also served as Vice President, Manufacturing and Engineering for Chlor Alkali and was Director of Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing for the division from 1991 through 1997.
Mr. McIntosh started his career with Olin as a production engineer at Olin's chemical plant in Charleston, Tenn. and later was the Plant Manager for Olin's Niagara Falls production facility.
Olin Corporation is a leading North American producer of copper alloys, ammunition, and chlorine and caustic soda.
