Global DataTel Buys Colombian-Based Computer Service Firm for $750,000

DELRAY BEACH, Fla--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 1, 1999--Global DataTel (OTC BB: GDIS) today announced the acquisition of DLR, LTDA, Bogota, Colombian-based IBM Business Partner with alliances with Microsoft and Lotus, for $750,000, said Richard Baker, Global's CEO.

DLR, based in Bogota with offices in Cali, reported revenues in excess of $6 million (U.S.) in 1998, said Baker. Last week, Global announced the acquisitions of two Latin American IBM business partners for a combined $3.3 million.

Global DataTel is an international supplier of information technology, as it builds Latin America's first continent-wide data and telecom solution provider. The company currently has offices in Managua, Nicaragua; San Jose, Costa Rica; Barranquilla, Bogota, Cali and Medellin Colombia; and is headquartered in Pompano Beach.
