John Chambers, Cisco Systems President and CEO, to Deliver Evening Address At Supercomm '99

ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 16, 1999--John Chambers, president and CEO, Cisco Systems, will share his vision of the directions, near-term perspectives and competitive landscape of the computer and software industries at SUPERCOMM '99 at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9.

Chambers officially became Cisco's President and CEO in January 1995. Since that time, he has grown the company from $1.2 billion to more than $10 billion in annual revenues.
Joining Cisco in 1991, Chambers served as senior vice president of worldwide operations. In May 1994, he was promoted to executive vice president with R&D, manufacturing, worldwide sales, marketing and support responsibilities. Before coming to Cisco, Chambers served Wang Laboratories for eight years in various capacities, including senior vice president of U.S. operations. He began his career at IBM.
Chambers holds an M.B.A. in finance and management from Indiana University and a J.D. degree and a B.S./B.A. in business from West Virginia University.
