Compaq To Bring Intel Pentium III Processor To Market Across Multiple Platforms

SAN JOSE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 17, 1999--Fulfilling its commitment of delivering the best IT solutions to enterprise, Small and Medium Business, and consumer customers, Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ) today announced its support of Intel(R) Pentium(R) III processor at the Intel Pentium III Processor Preview Day show in San Jose, California. Compaq will make the Pentium III processor available in the Deskpro, ProLiant, Prosignia, Armada, Professional Workstations AP line and Presario product lines following delivery of the new processor by Intel. The new processor will ensure that Compaq customers have the highest processing power -- up to 500 MHz.
