Sony Announces Memory Stick Product Line to Advance Imaging Applications

Sony's DPP-MS300 Memory Stick printer will be available in May for $699 (MSRP).

Sony also announced a mini DV format camcorder with Memory Stick storage. The DCR-TRV10 offers the outstanding imaging performance found in Sony DV camcorders, including 1/4" 680K CCD imager, up to 500 lines of horizontal resolution (using video inputs), an i.LINK(tm) DV interface (IEEE 1394) -- plus a supplied 4MB Memory Stick storage card and slot.

Advancing the sharing of digital images and video between PCs and camcorders, the DCR-TRV10 further simplifies connectivity with its removable integrated circuit Memory Stick storage/transfer media. With Memory Mode, photo enthusiasts can capture up to 100 JPEG images in VGA on the supplied 4MB Memory Stick. The supplied Memory Stick media card reader connects to any serial port to easily transfer still images to a PC.

The DCR-TRV10 is a feature-packed DV Handycam camcorder that includes Index Titling which allows titles to be added or changed after video has been shot, i.LINK (IEEE 1394) DV interface, NightShot(tm) 0 Lux Infrared system for recording in total darkness, Super Steady Shot(R) picture stabilization, Stamina(R) battery life, and more. The DCR-TRV10 will be available in May for $1,799 (MSRP).
