LEWISBURG, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 1999--The JPM Company (NASDAQ/NMS: JPMX) today announced the appointment of David J. Surgala as Corporate Treasurer, reporting to Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, William D. Baker.

Mr. Surgala joins JPM with over twenty years experience in global treasury and finance and will be responsible for worldwide banking relationships and risk management programs.

Mr. Surgala, a certified public accountant, was previously Manager of Treasury for Keithley Instruments, Inc., a worldwide manufacturer of high-tech electronic test and measurement hardware and software for the semiconductor and telecommunications industries.
