BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 1999--

digitalNATION Becomes A Founding Member of Chili!Soft's ISP

Program

Chili!Soft(tm), Inc. (http://www.chilisoft.com), the leader in multi-platform Active Server Pages (ASP), announced today that digitalNATION (http://www.dn.net), a major provider of dedicated Web- and applications-hosting services, has chosen Chili!Soft's Chili!ASP for Sun Solaris(tm) to address the increased demand by its customer base for ASP services. Chili!ASP provides digitalNATION the ability to extend ASP from Microsoft's Windows NT platform to run on digitalNATION's Sun Solaris servers. In addition, digitalNATION agreed to become a founding member of Chili!Soft's ISP program.

Chili!ASP enables ASP applications to run on multiple platforms. ASP was originally developed by Microsoft as a powerful framework to create dynamic Web sites running only on Microsoft's Internet Information Server (IIS) on the Windows NT platform. The multi-platform flexibility of Chili!ASP allows digitalNATION to meet the growing demand of its ASP customers while providing the proven stability of its more than 500 existing Sun Solaris servers.

"ASP is establishing itself as a mainstream application server," commented Rodney Loges, digitalNATION Vice President of Business Development. "We're seeing huge demand to host sites developed in ASP and Chili!ASP is helping us handle the load across our existing infrastructure. With ASP forecasted to grow from 500,000 developers to over a million by 2000, we will be able to manage the growth without having the software dictate our server infrastructure. Integration of this product is just another proof point of digitalNATION's commitment to customized high-end hosting solutions for our clients."

digitalNATION has agreed to be included among the founding members of an aggressive new Chili!Soft partner program designed to empower major Internet Server Providers (ISPs) with the tools necessary to increase market share and reduce costs with ASP hosting services.

"The major ISP market runs predominantly on UNIX servers, which do not inherently run ASP applications," said Brian Pavicic, ISP Program Director for Chili!Soft. "Developers are committed to the great benefits of ASP, but need ISP services to host their applications. Chili!ASP provides a compelling story for companies such as digitalNATION to leverage their hardware investment and utilize the scalability and high performance they get from their existing UNIX servers."
