Wireless Knowledge and MSNBC.com Partner to Bring News and Other Content to Wireless Device Users

MSNBC is the Anchor News Provider for Wireless Knowledge's
Premier Wireless Data Access Service, Revolv
Wireless Knowledge LLC, a joint venture company between Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT) and QUALCOMM Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM) today announced at CTIA's Wireless '99 an agreement with MSNBC on the Internet (www.msnbc.com) that will allow Wireless Knowledge's wireless carrier partners to deliver real-time news, weather, sports and other information to their subscribers using Wireless Knowledge's first service offering, Revolv. Wireless Knowledge expects the first wireless carriers to deliver Revolv(SM) services to their customers in summer 1999.

Wireless Knowledge's Revolv service is the first in a series of services to be offered by the new company. Revolv provides business users with secure access to their important information and Microsoft Exchange groupware using a variety of wireless and mobile devices from anywhere they travel. It is the first service of its kind to truly untether the business user by providing complete wireless access to email, contacts, calendar, news updates via MSNBC and other data residing on either a Wireless Knowledge hosted server or their corporate Microsoft Exchange server.

Availability
Revolv is available now on an OEM basis to carriers. Commercial end-user availability from the first carrier partners is expected in summer 1999. The service will provide wireless services to access messaging, e-mail, calendaring, contact list, news and information delivery via MSNBC, plus access to Exchange-based corporate networks. Additional features and services will be added over time.
