VAN BUREN, Ar.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 1999--Aamaxan Transport Group, Inc. (OTC BB: AAXM) today announced:

Rex Mason, CEO of Aamaxan Transport Group, a Delaware corporation, announced the acquisition of assets of Classic Transportation Services, Inc., based in Fort Smith, Arkansas, providing logistic services to customers throughout the United States. Classic reports 1997 unaudited revenues of $12.7 million.

Services provided to Classic customers will be continued through Aamaxan Transport Group, Inc.'s subsidiaries of Amaxa Services, Inc., a logistic service company, and EagleWings Systems, Inc., a contracted carrier providing truck load and multi-stop truck load services.

Aamaxan is a regional trucking and warehousing company with headquarters in Van Buren, Arkansas.
