Tower Technology, Inc. Announces OEM Agreement with Keyfile Corporation; Tower Technology Integrates Workflow Into Tower IDM Solution
Business Wire, Jan 19, 1999
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 19, 1999--Tower Technology, Inc., today announced a worldwide OEM agreement with Keyfile Corporation of Nashua, NH. Under the agreement, Tower Technology will provide customers of its recently announced Tower IDM(tm) solution the Keyfile workflow product, Keyflow(tm). Keyflow is a collaborative workflow solution that enables knowledge workers to develop business process workflows.
Tower IDM is an integrated document management solution for the Microsoft Windows environment. It provides users with one familiar user interface and one Common Enterprise Repository(tm) for full-function production imaging, case management (workflow), COLD/ERM and document management.
The Tower IDM document manager is tightly integrated with groupware solutions such as Microsoft(R) Exchange Server and Lotus Notes(R). It provides users with the familiar desktop interface and filing structure that is already part of the corporate infrastructure enabling knowledge workers to quickly and easily utilize the system. Documents, messages and other unstructured information move throughout an enterprise as easy as e-mail. Once this information is finalized, it is moved to the Tower IDM Repository, which provides a single integrated back-end for production imaging, COLD, document and case management.
Keyflow, recognized as a leader in Microsoft Exchange-based workflow, has functions such as case management auditing and real-time reporting that differentiate it from other messaging-based workflows. Keyflow takes full advantage of the Microsoft messaging system by leveraging the scalability of this widely scalable enterprise solution. Tower will offer the Keyflow product as an optional module to Tower IDM customers who will benefit from the enterprise deployable nature of this solution.
"Knowledge workers need to be able to set up collaborative workflows as easily as they set up e-mail distribution lists," said, William Zastrow, Vice President of Marketing at Tower Technology. "The Keyflow solution, with its tight integration with Microsoft Exchange, is a perfect complement to the Tower IDM system."
"We are extremely pleased to partner with Tower Technology," said Roger Sullivan, Vice President of Professional Services and Strategic Relations at Keyfile. "Tower has a long history of satisfied customers worldwide and we look forward to playing a part in their future customer successes."
Both Tower Technology and Keyfile have recently received 1998 Product of the Year awards, in their respective categories, from Imaging and Document Solutions Magazine. This relationship brings together two award-winning companies as they work to deliver world-class business solutions in the imaging, document management and workflow markets.
Tower Technology will begin shipping Keyflow in Q1 and will offer Tower IDM customers both named and concurrent licenses.
