Business Wire, Jan 19, 1999

ANDOVER, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 19, 1999--Raging Bull(tm) (http://www.ragingbull.com), the Internet's fastest-growing destination for online stock discussion, free stock quotes and market analysis, announces that Stephen J. Killeen, formerly senior vice president at Fidelity Investments, has joined the company as president and CEO. Effective immediately, Mr. Killeen will take over the helm at the dynamic financial message board site, spearheading Raging Bull's brand expansion and strategic development.

Killeen is an Internet innovator with a proven online financial services industry track record and seasoned leadership skills. Most recently with Fidelity Interactive, and a 6 year veteran of DLJ Direct (then PC Financial Network), Killeen has been a key architect of the leading interactive brokerages. He has specific expertise in developing and marketing cohesive interactive customer offerings and is best known for forging strategic partnerships to chart the expansion and public adoption of online financial services.

"Stephen is a rare commodity in our rapidly evolving market," explains Bill Martin, founding partner of Raging Bull. "He has both the rebel spirit of a Web entrepreneur and the experience and well-tested management skills we wanted in a CEO. With his financial services expertise, management know-how, and raw excitement about the potential of the Web, he is the ideal captain for the Raging Bull team."

"I am thrilled to be back in start-up mode and exploring new possibilities for delivering financial resources and investor information via the Web," says Killeen. "Like the founders of Raging Bull, I believe online message boards as the nexis of next-generation financial services on the Web. They provide what interactive investors have long been asking for - a reliable and informed community of investors that supports lively debate and expert analysis to contextualize quotes and charts."

Killeen's plans for Raging Bull's expansion are based on his recognition of the fact that rich and loyal community is the key to growth on the Web over the next few years. Killeen will also work to leverage Raging Bull's successful community-building expertise, offering strategic partners the "stickiness" they will need in order to compete. Killeen is also exploring expanding Raging Bull's distribution channels for its core message board offering. In addition, Killeen plans to enhance "My Raging Bull," Raging Bull's personalization tool that provide members with instant access to their favorite boards, resources and fellow members.

Prior to his tenure at Fidelity, Killeen spent 6 years at DJL Direct (then called Personal Control Financial Network) as senior vice president, director of marketing, pioneering online customer service, trading and member acquisition.
