WebChoice Unites the TV and the PC At No Cost

Business Wire, Jan 26, 1999

MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 26, 1999--Planet City (Software) Corp. (OTC BB:PINC) is pleased to announce it has acquired the Canadian rights to WEBCHOICE.

WebChoice integrates traditional media with the Web. WebChoice software is available to the consumer for free and can be downloaded from the Web site (www.webchoicetv.com).

WebChoice Inc. of Santa Monica, Calif., is a new Internet technology that brings television and the Internet together in one singular experience without requiring the consumer to invest in a set-top-box or TV tuner card. Now traditional broadcasters can enhance their traditional programming with compelling interactive Web content, giving their audiences a richer and more rewarding viewing experience. The technology allows a TV program or a commercial to send an audio signal to a computer. The computer converts the signal to a URL site. The URL can be opened immediately or stored for future use.

The WebChoice technology fits with Planet City's diversification strategy and will make a significant contribution to the company's entertainment software division. The company plans to make use of this technology immediately for its FutureTense Internet series.

Mike Furr of the Wall Street Financial Group stated, "WebChoice goes beyond Web TV. At no cost to the consumer all PC owners can interact with the TV. The possibilities are endless."
