TransEnergy Hires Financial Heavy Hitter; Bill Flores Joins Houston Energy Software Company as New CFO

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 28, 1999--William H. "Bill" Flores has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer for TransEnergy, the premier international provider of integrated energy transaction management software solutions. Flores, former senior vice president and chief financial officer for Western Atlas Inc., brings extensive financial expertise in the energy industry to TransEnergy.

In his most recent position at Western Atlas, Flores helped negotiate and execute the merger between Western Atlas and Baker Hughes Incorporated. In addition, he aided with the spin-off of UNOVA Inc., the company's industrial automation segment, and served as a key member of the company's mergers and acquisition team in 1997 and 1998.
Flores' responsibilities at TransEnergy will include strategy, planning, internal and external reporting, investor and financial relations, banking and treasury, accounting, taxes, information technology, human resources, insurance and risk management, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Western Atlas, Flores worked for Marine Drilling Companies Inc., serving in various capacities during his 17 years of service, most recently as executive vice president, chief financial officer and member of the board of directors.
Flores received his MBA from Houston Baptist University and a BBA in accounting from Texas A&M University.
