CIBER Acquires Paragon Solutions, Inc

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 7, 1999--CIBER, Inc. ("CIBER") (NYSE: CBR) announced today the acquisition of Paragon Solutions, Inc. ("Paragon"), a privately held provider of Oracle software implementation and IT consulting services, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA.

("Summit"), our existing value-added Enterprise Applications Solutions practice," stated Mac Slingerlend, CIBER's President/CEO. "Strategically, Paragon adds breadth to CIBER's Summit Group activities by initiating an Oracle project presence in the Pittsburgh, PA, marketplace and strengthening Summit's relationship with Oracle. We are also pleased that Paragon shareholders, Debbie Ferlic and Bob Markley, will join the Summit team. Debbie will serve as a Summit Group Vice President and will continue to manage the Pittsburgh office," continued Mr. Slingerlend. "The Summit Group of CIBER opens outstanding opportunities to continue our competitive advantage in the Pittsburgh market and we are excited to help expand their Oracle expertise," stated Ms. Ferlic. "Bob will assume the role of Sales Director for The Summit Group and will play a key role in managing our Oracle relationship," said Mr. Slingerlend.
Paragon generates annualized revenues of approximately $5 million. The acquisition will be accounted for using purchase accounting.
