FaxNet Signs Major Agreement with Ameritech to Provide Enhanced Fax Services; 4 out of 5 RBOCs Choose FaxNet as their Enhanced Fax Services Provider

FaxNet Corporation, further demonstrating its leadership in providing enhanced fax services to communication providers, today announced it has won a multi-million dollar, multi-year contract to supply a wide range of enhanced fax services that Ameritech will market to its business customers. With this contract, FaxNet now supplies services to four out of the five regional bell operating companies (RBOC), as well as other leading communication providers, reaching more than 80 million business and individual customers.
Under the agreement, Ameritech's customers will have access to leading-edge fax technology providing both business and individual users diverse and easy-to-use communications tools. Services are available now to Ameritech customers in Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit and Milwaukee. The company plans to extend the services later this summer to customers in Columbus, Ohio, and Indianapolis. In addition to the fax services, FaxNet will provide Ameritech with an array of support services including marketing and operations support.
