Amdahl Launches eShopAmdahl; E-Commerce Web Site Provides Customers With Online Pricing and Product Evaluation

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 1999--
Amdahl Corporation today announced the launch of the first phase of its E-commerce Web site. The site will provide customers with pricing, product descriptions and support for pre-configured Millennium (S/390-compatible CMOS processors) and Fujitsu teamservers (Intel Pentium(TM) processor-based servers), as well as S/390 and Open Systems Storage and TDMF Express(TM) Software.
Amdahl's launch of this E-commerce site helps customers to not only increase productivity, but successfully manage today's changing business methods. In addition to the convenience of evaluating products and pricing online, customers who log-on to www.amdahl.com, have access to multiple points of contact for assessment of their IT solution and service needs. These customer support features include: a toll-free, 1-800 number, centralized Email and FAX support.

Product prices, technical descriptions and products shown on the site apply to the United States. Subsequent phases of the E-commerce initiative will support locations outside the United States. Later this year, Amdahl's E-commerce site will provide customers with enhanced levels of functionality and transaction management.
