Spacelabs Medical Announces Agreement with Cedaron Corporation; Alliance Expands Spacelabs Burdick Cardiology Line with Outcomes Functionality

Spacelabs Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq: SLMD) and Cedaron Medical, Inc. announced today a software licensing agreement that expands the Spacelabs cardiology management system with new outcomes functionality. This new feature, developed by Cedaron, provides a tracking tool that stores patient encounter and treatment outcomes data for the long-term care of cardiac patients. The outcomes reporting feature will become part of the Spacelabs Pyramis(R) Cardiology Information Management System. The outcomes reporting functionality is designed for clinicians desiring to measure their patient outcomes and automate reporting of data, as well as those wishing to participate in national data registries for bench marking.

The incorporation of the outcomes feature for cardiac care is yet another step toward achieving Spacelabs' strategic vision.
