Bloor Research Launches IT-Analysis.com

Business Wire, July 7, 1999

MILTON KEYNES, U.K.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 7, 1999--

Only three months after its launch of IT-Director.com, Bloor Research has launched a new IT web site, IT-Analysis.com, targeted at providing in-depth and interactive IT Analysis to IT professionals across the world.

Bloor Research is now intending to launch two additional web sites by the end of the year, one of which will be an e-commerce analysis site.

IT-Analysis.com was launched primarily because of the unexpected level of traffic that IT-Director.com has generated. When Bloor Research launched IT-Director.com, it had intended only to cater for CIOs, IT-Directors and senior IT executives, but the site has attracted a much wider audience and a remarkable level of traffic for a specialist IT site.

"We are launching IT-Analysis.com in an attempt to cope with the demand that IT-Director.com has generated," said Robin Bloor, CEO of Bloor Research, "We have learned a remarkable amount about the nature of the web from the response to IT-Director. Clearly interactive IT-Analysis is and idea whose time has come."

The new site will work from a similar template as IT-Director.com. It will be a community based site that provides news, in-depth analyst opinion and an interactive analysis service. However, the analysis content will be considerably different as it will be tailored to a different audience. IT-Analysis.com will become the hub from which Bloor Research will sell its IT Analysis research but it will also serve as a community for IT professionals that wish to trade IT information and views. As with IT-Director.com, IT-Analysis.com will accept sponsorship from IT vendors and other companies that wish to reach its select audience.
