View Systems Announces Puerto Rican Product Contract and Hiring of Vice President of Corporate Development

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 1999--
Publicly-traded View Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: VYST) has announced that after an extensive product evaluation involving several manufactures, the Puerto Rican Government has selected View Systems' Remote Interactive Video Security Systems for its agencies.
Acting on behalf of View Systems as an exclusive re-seller for the Puerto Rican operations, Class and Associates has secured this and other pending contracts with a number of Puerto Rican agencies. Angelo Class, president of Class and Associates and former chief of the Puerto Rican National Intelligence Agency (NIE), reports that this is the first of several contracts between View Systems and the NIE. The NIE is responsible for facility security at the Puerto Rican National headquarters. Additionally, the Department of Justice will be using View Systems' field deployable units throughout its prison system. View Systems anticipates further contracts to be announced in the next few weeks.
View Systems further announced that Bruce E. Lesniak has been hired as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. Mr. Lesniak has been active in the security industry for over fifteen years. The last fourteen years were spent with industry leader ADT Security Services. His most recent role as National Director of Business Development for ADT aligned him with the industry's highest profile accounts. As a senior executive with ADT, Bruce was instrumental in driving market growth, as he guided sales and marketing, implemented numerous new product releases and directed the largest and most profitable region in the company. Mr. Lesniak will aid View Systems in developing strategic business plans, creating strong partner alliances and building the sales and marketing infrastructure for the Company. Mr. Lesniak received an Undergraduate and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Illinois.
View Systems is continuing to develop marketing which targets specific segments of the security industry, as well as introducing new products which utilize the Company's technologies. The large Puerto Rican product order for its Remote Interactive Video Systems will boost sales and promote the Company in a new international spotlight.
