FREEPORT, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 1999--

PageTrack(TM) System Utilizes Motorola ReFLEX(TM) Two-Way Wireless

Technology, and SkyTel Wireless Network To Provide Cost-Effective

Automotive Security, Control, And Convenience Services

While wireless automotive tracking and control systems have been available for the last several years, they have been in the exclusive domain of luxury vehicles and cost thousands of dollars. But the introduction of the PageTrak(TM) system from Elite Logistics Services Inc. (ELSI), will help make these wireless tracking and control services available to literally every vehicle owner more affordably.

The PageTrak system is a complete end-to-end automotive command and control system that can provide automatic notification that a vehicle has been stolen, then based on a customer's preferance, can disable the vehicle, flash the lights, sound the horn and notify the police with the exact location of the vehicle. The system also can unlock the doors when keys are locked inside, remotely start the vehicle on cold mornings or lower windows on hot afternoons, as well as perform other value-added functions. ELSI has already signed several distributorship agreements and expects the first PageTrack Systems to be installed in June.

The PageTrak system incorporates several technologies to provide these services while maintaining conservative costs. The PageTrak system is composed of an in-vehicle PageTrak Control Module that is anchored by Motorola's ReFLEX(TM) technology-enabled CreataLink(TM) 2 XT two-way data transceiver, SkyTel's nationwide wireless communications network and a control center accessible via a toll free number through the Internet. Additional technology elements are the Oncore Global Positioning System (GPS), and Microchip Technology's PIC16F84 8-bit Flash microcontroller supported by ELSI's proprietary firmware.

"By leveraging the robust capabilities of Motorola's ReFLEX technology operated on SkyTel's nationwide wireless communications network, PageTrack's broad range of two-way wireless monitoring, command and control applications are extremely efficient," said Joe Smith, president of ELSI. "We had a very simple objective -- to provide the features that consumers really want at a price that is affordable for the mass market. Whether you're an individual owner or the manager of a fleet of vehicles, the PageTrack System delivers real value."

In addition to these end-user safety, control and convenience features, automotive manufacturers, dealerships, aftermarket retailers, fleet management organizations and finance organizations can equip vehicles with a device that controls numerous vehicle functions for their unique requirements. For financing companies, the ability to protect their assets by remotely disabling a vehicle ensures an effective method to force a return phone call or prompt a car payment from a delinquent customer. In the automobile sub-prime market, the PageTrack system helps provide many benefits for financial lenders as it allows them to protect and recover their assets at minimal cost to the financial institution.

"Elite Logistic Services has done an exceptional job of implementing ReFLEX technology and the SkyTel advanced network to help deliver a proven solution for the automotive aftermarket," said Steve Kincade, vice president of Vertical Sales and Distribution, Motorola, Inc. "Motorola has a long history of providing innovative solutions to the automotive wireless industry and the adoption of ReFLEX technology by ELSI is just another step forward."

"Skytel is able to provide low-cost remote monitoring solutions via the intelligence and efficiency of its nationwide advanced messaging network," said Mark E. Rodgers, SkyTel Fixed Wireless vice president. "The PageTrack application affirms our vision for telemetry services to save people money while making their lives more convenient. We are even working with ELSI to use two-way pagers as an optional command and control module for vehicles and provide in-vehicle information services such as traffic alerts and severe weather warnings."
