Business Wire, June 15, 1999

ASHBURN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 15, 1999--

Telos(R) Corporation announced today that Robert J. Marino, Executive Vice President, has been named one of Federal Computer Week (FCW) magazine's "Federal 100."

The annual award is given by the magazine to honor the "leaders who have made a difference in the federal information technology arena during the 1998 fiscal year." The judges selected Mr. Marino for his focus on customer oriented solutions. The winners were profiled in the June 7, 1999 issue of the magazine; a formal dinner honoring all winners is being held today in Washington, D.C.

Kevin Carroll, the Program Executive Officer, Standard Army Management Information Systems, is quoted in the magazine praising Mr. Marino's dedication to customer support, saying, "He focused on the customer usage of the product. He set up some people that were located with the customer so...(that Telos was) able to troubleshoot on the spot."

John Wood, President and CEO of Telos, said that Marino's contributions to the IT community can not be understated. "Bob always looks at issues from the customer's point of view. That leads to realistic expectations, increased satisfaction, and partnerships with our customers. It's also a key element of Telos' new e-Solutions -- solutions that help organizations use Web-based technologies to improve processes, lower costs, and most importantly, get closer to customers, suppliers, and partners." Wood added, "We're proud of Bob for his dedicated service to Telos and our customers and join FCW in recognizing his accomplishments."

According to the magazine's Web site, FCW's Federal 100 winners are "nominated by FCW readers for their contributions to the development, acquisition or management of federal IT. Winners are recognized for proficiency in producing better programs and purchasing quality IT products, which allow the federal government to better serve its citizens." Judges included technology executives from several government agencies and industry, and winners are chosen from a variety of government agencies, associations, and private companies that interact with the federal government.

Telos' e-Solutions are in use throughout the federal government, and are built on the Company's business practices in Information Assurance, Enterprise Integration, Enterprise Management, Wireless Networking, and Automated Message Management. Mr. Marino leads a sales force dedicated to delivering effective solutions for e-business, helping to make the virtual enterprise a reality.
