YORBA LINDA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 16, 1999--

QPS Inc. (www.qps-inc.com) is now shipping two versions of CD-to-CD duplicators.

The QPS CD-Dupe III and CD-Dupe III/HDD can reproduce any CD-ROM readable-format or computer data CDs. These duplicators will work with PC or MAC computers.

The CD-Dupe III provides one 32-ROM SCSI CD-ROM and one 4X write CD-R drive. Premastering software for use with a computer is included, as well as five blank CD-R discs, a terminator and an external double-shielded SCSI cable. The duplicators can be operated as stand-alone units or attached to a host computer.

"Ease of use is a very important feature of the CD-Dupe III duplicators. This kit contains everything needed to get started," said Pierre Abboud, QPS' vice president. "These products can also be upgraded to accommodate future CD-R drive technology."

A simple LED display easily takes the user through the list of duplication functions that include copy, copy and compare, simulation, verify master, and audio extraction modes. By using the state-of-the-art control card with a CD-recorder, CD-ROM and an AV-rated hard disk drive, the completed system can achieve a sustained transfer rate of 15MB per second and an effective access time of less than 8 milliseconds. The suggested retail price is $999.

The CD-Dupe III/HDD version comes bundled with a 2.1GB hard drive and audio track extraction. It is priced at $1,199 MSRP.
