.comfax Introduces Free Voice and Fax Service Announces Strategic Marketing Alliance with Juno

Business Wire, June 2, 1999

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 1999--

.comfax ("dot-com-fax"), a leading Internet fax company, today announced a free consumer service called MessageClick, which combines voice mail and fax with the convenience of E-mail.

In addition, the company announced an alliance with Juno Online Services, a leading provider of Internet-related services, making MessageClick the exclusive Internet fax/voice mail service for Juno's millions of subscribers.

MessageClick is a free Web service that offers each subscriber a voice mail/fax phone number enabling them to receive private voice mail and faxes in their own E-mail account. MessageClick targets mobile professionals, small business/home office workers and traveling consumers who are seeking more efficient, reliable and affordable ways to receive voice mail and faxes remotely -- all in one place.

"By combining voice mail and fax in a central E-mail box, MessageClick simplifies life for businesses and consumers while eliminating the need for additional phone lines dedicated to faxing," said Ben Feder, CEO and president of .comfax. "Our agreement with Juno will allow us to reach millions of potential customers."

"We are committed to offering our subscribers a wide variety of useful tools that enhance their daily Internet experience," said Toby Bryce, vice president at Juno. "MessageClick is a natural complement to the current selection of online services which we are pleased to offer to our users."

MessageClick is an easy-to-use receive-only service. To register, users go to www.Messageclick.com to set up their personal voice mail/fax account and receive a MessageClick phone number instantly. The MessageClick number is like any other phone number with an area code and seven digits. Once users give their number to associates, family or friends, they can receive voice mail messages and faxes via their existing E-mail account.

MessageClick voice mails and faxes look just like regular E-mails with attachments. Faxes are opened with standard imaging software which is included in most computers. Voice mail messages are received as compressed Real Audio files; Real Audio software can be downloaded free from www.real.com.

.comfax will continue to offer fee-based faxing services for users who wish to send faxes or who prefer 800 toll-free inbound fax numbers. In addition, .comfax plans to introduce an array of new premium messaging services by the end of the year.
