Navarre Corporation Adds SIAM Records to Exclusion Music Catalog

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 21, 1999--

Jim Chiado, VP/GM of Navarre Corporation's (Nasdaq: NAVR) music products division, announces today that the company has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with New York-based jazz and world music label SIAM Records. The label will release four to six CD's annually through Navarre, including its first DVD video, featuring Indonesia's New Jakarta Ensemble's Commonality. On August 3, the first four CD's will be released, including Erik Friedlander's Topaz, Armsted Christian's The Wave is Coming, Bakithi Kumalo's San Bonan, and Steve Khan and Rob Mounsey's You Are Here.

SIAM's founder and president, Michael Landy, was formerly GRP Record's chief engineer/technical director for 12 years. General Manager Frank Hendricks is also a GRP alumnus, having served as vice president of international for six years and, previously, as director at Sony Music International. Rhonda Foreman, the company's director of sales and field marketing, has over 14 years of combined experience at N2K encoded music, MCA Records and BMG Distribution.
