Orbit International Corp. Announces New Contract Award From Marconi Aerospace Systems, Inc

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 1999--
Orbit International Corp. (NASDAQ:ORBT) today announced that its Orbit Instrument Division has been awarded a new contract valued at approximately $1,000,000 from the Advanced Systems Division of Marconi Aerospace Systems, Inc. Under this contract, the Company will provide a Data Entry Device/Terminal to be used as part of Marconi's family of Digital Interrogators. Deliveries of these units are expected to commence in the year 2000 and continue through 2002.

Orbit's equipment will be incorporated into Marconi's IFF hardware that will be utilized by the U.S. Navy. Possible international sales also exist for this architecture. The equipment provided for this program demonstrates Orbit's ability to provide hardware which can operate in severe environmental conditions including shock and cold storage temperatures.

Orbit International Corp., based in Hauppauge, is involved in the manufacture of customized electronic components and subsystems for military and nonmilitary government application. Its Behlman Electronics, Inc. subsidiary manufactures and sells high quality commercial power units and low noise uninterruptable power supplies (UPS). The Behlman military division designs, manufactures and sells power units and electronic products for measurement and display.
