Business Wire, June 28, 1999
SEDONA, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 28, 1999--
Planet City Corp (OTCBB:PINC) is pleased to announce the creation of a new division for Internet Gaming. The first entry in this Division is Planet City Casino, which provides many of the popular Las Vegas style casino games.
Planet City Casino will provide both play-for-free and play-for-real options. Beginning Monday, June 28, the casino will begin its Beta test, and will be open to the public for free-play with the five games currently available. New games will be added periodically. The current games software is available for download from http://www.planetcitycasino.com. Free Installation CD ROMs are available upon request.
Terry Dennis, President and CEO of Planet City said, "The Planet City Casino is a complete turn key operation with minimal start up costs. Selecting a turn key operation allows us to keep our operating expenses low, while generating immediate income to fund our ongoing operations. This allows Planet City staff to concentrate on the primary focus of our company, which is providing leading edge software products and services to our clients."
Internet gaming is growing at a rapid pace. Sebastian Sinclair, a gaming industry research analyst with Christiansen/Cummings Associates, estimates that expenditures for Internet gaming should reach $7.9 billion by 2001, exclusive of sports and horse betting. The Planet City Internet Gaming Division's goal is to provide future interactive single and multi-player game titles for this lucrative entertainment medium.
