fine.com CEO Dan Fine Wins 1999 Entrepreneur of the Year Award

This past Thursday Dan Fine, chief executive officer of fine.com International Corp. (Nasdaq:FDOT) was recognized for his entrepreneurial leadership of fine.com.
In an awards banquet held at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center, Ernst and Young LLP named Fine the 1999 Northwest Internet Services Entrepreneur of the Year.
Fine, founder of fine.com, was one of eight winners selected from twenty-two finalists. The finalists were some of the Northwest's emerging leaders, including Steven Gillis of Corixa Corporation, Naveen Jain of InfoSpace.com, Inc., Russell C. Horowitz of Go2Net, Inc., Terry Drayton of HomeGrocer.com, and Nick Hanauer of Avenue A Media.

The Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards are considered the premier event for honoring entrepreneurs in the United States. The awards take place during the month of June in 47 cities around the country. Winners are selected by blue-ribbon panels of judges composed of community, business and civic leaders, as well as prior award winners. All regional award recipients are eligible to compete in the national Entrepreneur of the Year awards event.
