For Broadcast Automation Professionals
Antex Electronics, a leading manufacturer of high-end digital audio sound cards for studio-quality PC-based recording and playback, today announced the Broadcaster(TM) BX-8 Adapter, a new digital audio solution offering a host of new features and benefits to those working in broadcast automation.
The BX-8 builds on Antex's popular Broadcaster(TM) series of digital audio adapters, which includes the widely used Broadcaster(TM) BX-12, considered by many an industry standard. "As a partner to many broadcast professionals in the radio field, we're proud to provide this newest member of the Broadcaster family to the industry," said Jim Antrim, president and CEO of Antex. "The demand for advanced digital audio solutions that are a cut above the norm is truly a testament to the importance these professionals place on the audio portion of their computer systems."
Other key features of the BX-8 include:

simultaneously
-- Flexible digital mixing and volume control between all channels
-- Seamless support for industry's most common compression formats,
including MPEG Layer I/II, and linear 8 or 16-bit PCM
