Barnes Group Inc. Appoints Greg Milzcik President Barnes Aerospace

BRISTOL, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 4, 1999--
Edmund M. Carpenter, president and CEO of Barnes Group Inc. (NYSE:B), today announced that Greg Milzcik has been appointed president, Barnes Aerospace of Windsor, Connecticut, a wholly owned business unit of Barnes Group Inc.
Prior to joining Barnes Group, Mr. Milzcik was vice president and general manager of International Operations for Lockheed Martin Aircraft and Logistics. From 1994 until 1997, he was group vice president -- Manufacturing and Overhaul at Precision Standard Inc., which provides aerospace structures manufacturing and support engineering services. During 1992 and 1993, Mr. Milzcik was senior vice president, Business Development at AAR Corporation's Engine Component Services (ECS) business unit. From 1989 to 1992, he was vice president and general manager/plant manager at ECS in Connecticut.

Mr. Milzcik earned a certificate of Graduate Studies in Administration and Management from Harvard University, a masters degree in Management and Administration from Cambridge College and a bachelors of science in Applied Science and Technology from Edison State College.
Mr. Milzcik has served on the board of directors for Aeroplex of Central Europe, Pacific Aerospace Corp., Guangzhou Maintenance and Engineering Company (China) and Lockheed International Service and Investment Corporation.
Barnes Aerospace is a worldwide producer of machined and fabricated components and assemblies for aircraft engines and airframe builders, and provides engine component overhaul and repair service for many of the world's major commercial airlines.
