USA Networks, Inc. Appoints Anne Shiva Vice President, Administration

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 4, 1999--

USA Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: USAI) announced today that Anne Shiva has been appointed to Vice President, Administration of the Company. In this capacity, she will oversee Operations and Strategic Sourcing for USAi. She will report to Barry Baker, President and Chief Operating Officer of USAi, and will be based in New York starting June 7.

Anne Shiva joins USAi after receiving her Masters of Business Administration degree from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Prior to her graduate work, Ms. Shiva served for four years as an Account Executive at Young & Rubicam. At Y&R, she developed the Ad of the Month project in conjunction with the Worldwide Creative Director. She also oversaw the planning of company-wide celebrations with regard to creative work. Ms. Shiva has also worked at Polo/Ralph Lauren, where she helped develop a plan for improving communications between worldwide entities and the corporate offices.

Ms. Shiva earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1993 from Fairfield University and also studied abroad at Oxford University's St. Anne's College for an academic semester. Ms. Shiva is a Committee Member of the Young Patron Program at the Lincoln Center Theater.
