Business Wire, March 1, 1999

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 1, 1999--Las Vegas-based Home Gambling Network Inc.(sm) (HGN(sm)), the holder of U.S. patent 5,800,268, titled "Method of Participating in a Live Casino Game From a Remote Location," has reached a mutually satisfactory resolution with UUNET in the U.S. District Court of Nevada patent infringement case against First Live Casino, Cable and Wireless (WI) Ltd, UUNET, Rolling Good Times Online Inc. and Where To Bet.

deedee Molnick, president of Home Gambling Network, stated, "We are pleased with UUNET's decision to respect the Intellectual Property of Home Gambling Network Inc. and can say that UUNET, a WorldCom/MCI Company, which is one of the largest Internet service providers in the world, has shown the utmost in integrity and professionalism."

The Internet (and/or television) is where every business wants to be because it's always the perfect location. Licensing under HGN's patent is like a casino/sports book/race track being located everywhere anybody wants it to be, offering remote wagering from anywhere in the world with the convenience of electronic payments.

This puts the power of the perfect location in the casino/sports book/race track's portfolio, retaining customer loyalty while providing ample opportunity to increase revenues exponentially.

Live remote wagering under HGN's patent is conducted by licensed and regulated operators exactly the same as if the player were seated at the table/bingo hall/horse race. HGN's method is not virtual and there are no pre-determined odds computed by the computer since HGN's method does not use computerized games.

All transactions between the player and the casino are recorded by a third-party financial institution, providing for ease of payment/tax verification by any outside source. Gamblers worldwide will be able to choose their remote casinos/sports books/horse racing venues by seeking the familiar HGN(sm) brand logo representing authorized patent licensees.

HGN(sm) will be attending the IGBE Expo in Las Vegas, March 10 to 12, 1999, booth 834, and NIGA '99 Expo, April 26 to 28, 1999, in Tuscon, Ariz., booth 1314, to discuss licensing for land based casinos/sports books/race tracks etc.

Details: http://www.homegamblingnetwork.com/hgnnews.html.> With regulatory approval from the Nevada State Gaming Control Board on technology that will be utilized in the efforts of offering some form of remote/Internet wagering in Nevada, it will be only a matter of time before state lotteries, race tracks and all other forms of wagering are offered in the United States.
