Fenestrae Faxination 4.0 Offers Lower Cost/Higher Performance
Advantages of Internet Faxing
Fenestrae B.V. the leader in True Integrated Messaging (TIM) solutions for Microsoft Exchange and SAP, and FaxSav (NASDAQ NM: FAXX) the global leader in Internet Fax, today announced the first Internet Fax messaging solution to be integrated for these widely-deployed environments.
The joint solution is provided through Faxination 4.0, Fenestrae's Windows NT fax/messaging solution, which has gained worldwide acceptance as a leading corporate fax/messaging solution for Microsoft Mail, Microsoft Exchange, and SAP. Integrated into Faxination 4.0 is FaxSav's ServerLink API, which connects Faxination 4.0 customers to FaxSav's Global Internet Fax Network for high capacity and reliable worldwide delivery of high-value documents.
The combined strength of the true integrated messaging offered by Fenestrae's Faxination 4.0 software for Microsoft Exchange and SAP customers and FaxSav's network enables customers worldwide to fax from these environments without adding any traditional fax server hardware, or costly telecom connections dedicated solely to fax.
The solution allows customers to migrate from costly and inefficient fax machine and stand-alone fax server solutions to one which integrates faxing into a company's existing messaging infrastructure, letting it take full advantage of the systems and connectivity already deployed to support electronic mail. This breakthrough capability makes it possible for corporations to route large amounts of outbound fax traffic over a shared messaging infrastructure, reducing both the upfront and ongoing costs of faxing -- estimated to comprise 40% of a Fortune 500 company's annual telecommunications costs.
Fenestrae's President and CEO Wim G. DeKoning stated, "We are pleased to partner with a leading organization like FaxSav to integrate Internet Fax capabilities into the Exchange and SAP environments. Because both of our companies are recognized leaders in our markets, it was only natural to combine our strengths to deliver a new and broader set of capabilities to our customers."
"Our business is all about helping enterprises move their high-value documents across the Internet," said Thomas F. Murawski, Chief Executive Officer of FaxSav. "Partnering with Fenestrae, means that Internet Fax will easily become a part of more and more customers' workflow and ERP solutions worldwide."
The principal benefits of the Fenestrae-FaxSav solution are:
- Saving on handling and telecom costs: Unlike traditional fax
servers, Faxination 4.0 does not require a customer to deploy any
fax client software. With Faxination 4.0, faxing is as easy as
sending and receiving e-mail messages. Faxination's Universal
Message routing (UMR) automatically determines the least
expensive way to deliver a fax to any given destination.
- Scalability: FaxSav's high capacity network offers significantly
more delivery capacity than any individual customer would deploy
for its own use. Fenestrae's Faxination 4.0 is a scalable fax
solution both for businesses with a limited number of users, or
thousands.
- Higher Performance: Messages leave the Exchange Server or SAP
system at speeds driven by the available Internet bandwidth
(typically 56K or faster), rather than the speed of a receiving
fax machine (typically 14.4 K or slower.) When connected to the
FaxSav Global Internet Fax Network, fax server throughput
typically increases a minimum of 3-5 times vs. analog fax server
configurations.
The solution will be offered through Fenestrae's worldwide network of Value Added Resellers and Distributors, including worldwide partners such as Microsoft, Lucent Technologies' Octel Messaging Division, Compaq, SAP, and BAAN. FaxSav will also offer the solution through its direct sales force in the USA as well as additional selected channels.
