Fairchild Aerospace Appoints Robert Stangarone Vice President, Corporate Affairs

SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 1999--Fairchild Aerospace Corporation today announced the appointment of Robert Stangarone as vice president, corporate affairs. He will be responsible for media relations, financial and strategic communications and a range of issues involving internal and external corporate affairs.

Stangarone has served in numerous senior-level positions in the aerospace industry. He most recently served as director of corporate communications for Litton and vice president of public affairs for Rolls-Royce North America. Prior to that, he held senior communications positions with United Technologies' Sikorsky and Pratt & Whitney units, and served as managing editor of both Business & Commercial Aviation and Air Facts magazines. Stangarone is an experienced pilot with some 2,000 flight hours as a flight instructor and commercial pilot with multi-engine and instrument ratings.
