Expense Express Adds Standard Real-Time SAP R/3 Interface; Real-Time Validation of Expense Data Saves Time and Cuts Expense Reimbursement Processing Costs For SAP R/3 Users
Business Wire, March 17, 1999
PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 1999--InterPro Expense Systems Inc. Tuesday announced that it has successfully completed a standard real-time interface for integrating Expense Express with SAP R/3 applications (NYSE:SAP) utilizing SAP's BAPI (business application program interface) technology.
The new interface permits real-time validation of Expense Express information via the SAP system. To the customer, this translates into quicker processing time and faster reimbursement of employees.
By utilizing standard SAP BAPI technology to develop a configurable interface, InterPro has reduced the implementation time for integrating Expense Express with SAP R/3 by 90%, and has eliminated the need for additional programming resources at the customer site to maintain the interface.
Roger Isaacs, InterPro's vice president of product development, commented: "The development of a standard, real-time interface to the SAP R/3 applications was a priority for us. This interface not only enhances the level of service we're able to provide to our current customers; it also offers a more integrated solution to R/3 users so they can take advantage of the depth of T&E functionality within Expense Express. We believe the combination of greatly reduced implementation requirements and real-time processing will prove attractive to current and prospective Expense Express users."
The new interface has been implemented and is being tested by a large utility company that is a current user of both the SAP and Expense Express systems.
