Business Wire, March 17, 1999
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 1999--The benefits of LightWorks(R) photo-realistic rendering optimized for the Intel(R) Pentium(R) III Xeon(TM) processor will be demonstrated by SolidWorks Corporation at today's Intel Pentium III Xeon launch event in San Francisco.
SolidWorks Corporation will demonstrate PhotoWorks(TM) rendering, within SolidWorks(R), its leading 3D solid modeling software for Windows(R). PhotoWorks, the fully integrated photo-realistic rendering module for SolidWorks, is based on the LightWorks rendering engine from LightWork Design.
"SolidWorks' customer, Scorpion Recreational Products, creates photo-realistic images of high-performance snowmobiles using PhotoWorks, a fully integrated rendering product based on technology from our Gold Partner, LightWork Design," states Robert McGill, manager of SolidWorks' Partner Program. "When rendering materials like cast aluminum, dramatic improvements in rendering performance are made possible by the new graphical capabilities of the Pentium III Xeon processor. Scorpion has designed the entire snowmobile using SolidWorks and has successfully generated funding and market awareness with the dramatic, life-like images created using PhotoWorks."
