EarthLink Offers Members Latest Version of Microsoft Internet Explorer; Hot-Off-the-Press Browser Will Be Available Immediately to EarthLink Members

PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 18, 1999--EarthLink (Nasdaq:ELNK) continues to give its members access to cutting-edge Net tools, as the company Thursday announced it will distribute Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 to its members.
Beginning Thursday, members can download the software directly off EarthLink's Web site, and it will be available on the company's award-winning TotalAccess(tm) software in the future.
The latest version of Internet Explorer is faster, simpler, more automated and more flexible to let EarthLink members use the Web the way they want. New features include an overall speed increase, automatic correction of URLs, easy access to previously visited sites, enhanced search capabilities, increased organization of favorite sites and more.

The browser will also be available on EarthLink's TotalAccess Internet access software CD-ROMs within a couple months.
