CBT Systems, a leading provider of interactive education software for information technology (IT) training, today announced the immediate availability of comprehensive, interactive training for Novell(R) NetWare(R) 5.
The new courseware integrates CBT Systems' industry-leading education software with online mentoring by CBT Systems' subject matter experts to assist students in building their expertise in NetWare 5. The announcement was made at BrainShare '99, where Novell is featuring CBT Systems' latest Novell NetWare courseware in the Learning Zone, providing attendees with a way to embark on attaining essential NetWare 5 certification while at the conference.
The new courseware is a result of a long-standing co-development agreement between CBT Systems and Novell Education, and provides network administrators, systems integrators and value-added resellers of NetWare products with a thorough discussion of the key features and functionality of Novell NetWare 5. The new courseware prepares NetWare professionals for NetWare 5 CNE certification, the hallmark of qualified NetWare engineers. To address the needs of Certified Novell Engineers wishing to attain NetWare 5 certification, the courseware includes update courses from NetWare 4.11 to NetWare 5.
"Comprehensive, self-paced training addresses the evolving training needs of the 155,000 Certified Novell Professionals challenged with solving the IT problems that impact the bottom line of our customers," said Roger Blomgren, vice president, Novell Education. "CBT Systems and Novell Education have a long history of cooperative development partnership dedicated to providing quality, task-based, interactive training for NetWare users," said Barry Stockwell, CBT Systems vice president of Strategic Partners. "With our new NetWare 5 curriculum and online mentoring, CBT Systems is first to market with a comprehensive training solution for Novell NetWare technical staff, systems administrators and value-added resellers that will enable these users to optimize NetWare performance and enhance NetWare customer productivity."
Close Collaboration Results in Best-of-Breed Training Solutions The companies' expanded agreement to co-develop interactive training content for NetWare 5 underscores the close working relationship that CBT Systems has established with Novell Education, the worldwide organization dedicated to providing consistent, high-quality training and education programs for users of NetWare products.
CBT Systems is a key provider of Novell Authorized computer-based training (CBT) for Novell Education, the Novell division that provides course materials to Novell Authorized Education Centers (NAECs) and Novell Education Academic Partners (NEAPs). CBT Systems courseware is a cornerstone of the training that NAECs and NEAPs use to complement instructor-led courses. Additionally, CBT Systems is the exclusive provider of online mentoring services to Novell Education.
As part of the agreement between the companies, and effective immediately, Novell itself will be able to support their customers by marketing both the new Novell courseware as well as other, related courseware titles from CBT Systems' extensive courseware library.
