The Delphi Group Announces First Events Dedicated to Corporate Portals; The Delphi Group Explores the Next Generation of Desktop Computing at PORTAL WEST and PORTAL EAST
Business Wire, March 26, 1999
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 26, 1999--Corporate Portals are a revolutionary new breed of technology that is providing a single point of integration, access, and navigation through the multiple enterprise systems and information sources facing today's knowledge workers.
Corporate Portal solutions are already offered by more than one dozen vendors. They represent a market of $100 million dollars today, with growth projections into the high double digits over the next three years.
The Delphi Group (www.delphigroup.com) is producing two events during 1999 to educate business and IT managers on the technologies, methods and challenges of Corporate Portals. We'll explore how companies are using Corporate Portals; the costs and benefits of Corporate Portals; and trends for the evolution of Corporate Portals. The information presented over two days will save attendees months of research, analysis and product evaluations.
The first event, PORTAL WEST: The Next Generation in Desktop Computing, will be held JUNE 22-23, 1999 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, CA.
The second, PORTAL EAST: The Next Generation in Desktop Computing, will be held SEPTEMBER 14-15, 1999 at the Hyatt Regency Reston, in Reston Town Center, Washington, DC.
Each of the 2-day events provides a thorough understanding of Corporate Portals -- with coverage of technology and business issues. Included is a full day session instructed by industry thought leader Thomas Koulopoulos and the opportunity to evaluate state of the art technology. The course material incorporates detailed case studies describing the applications, opportunities and challenges of deploying Corporate Portals; demonstrations of the leading tools; standards and architectures for Corporate Portals; guidelines for integrating and managing Corporate Portals, and opportunities to network with industry experts on the most current portal developments.
