Business Wire, March 29, 1999

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 1999--Sane Solutions, LLC today announces an alliance with Hewlett-Packard Company to offer Sane Solutions' NetTracker(R) Internet usage tracking software as part of HP's worldwide Covision Internet solutions program. Through the Covision alliance, Sane Solutions, HP and other Covision members will work together to deliver comprehensive Internet solutions to meet specific customer needs, including electronic commerce and other high value-added Internet solutions.

NetTracker is server-based software designed to analyze the traffic from multiple web servers, proxy servers, firewalls & FTP servers and provide companies with detailed information about their web site visitors, as well as their employees' use (or abuse) of the Internet.

"NetTracker is an attractive solution for large organizations and ISPs because of its scalability and it's availability on Windows NT, HP-UX, Linux and other popular server-based platforms," said Jim Rose, Sane Solutions' CEO.

NetTracker contains features designed to benefit companies that are engaged in electronic commerce, as well as ISPs and web hosting companies. Features include standardized and customizable summary reports with drill down capabilities which enable users to dynamically link to get additional information, as well as advanced sorting capabilities that allow users to select and sort the information they analyze.

NetTracker also has the ability to generate up-to-the-minute reports from any location using a web browser (any platform) and the software resides on the server, so users do not have to download their log files, saving time and bandwidth. NetTracker's web browser interface is very easy to use, requiring no special training and NetTracker's unlimited client license saves companies money.

"NetTracker when combined with the products and services provided by HP and other Covision members, enables distributors, resellers, systems integrators and ISPs to provide high value-added Internet solutions for their customers who are actively engaged in electronic commerce," said Greg Mihran, head of Internet business development for HP's Personal Systems Group.
