HP Enhances Covision Program Offerings in Performance Management, Web Development and Communications

19 Partners Join Covision to Develop Integrated
Internet Solutions for Customers
Hewlett-Packard Company today announced that its Covision Internet solutions program has developed alliances with 19 additional Internet application companies and channel partners to develop integrated solutions. These new partners specialize in technologies that improve Web-site performance and security, facilitate sharing and retrieving information, and simplify Web development.

"Covision channel partners now have direct access to an even broader portfolio of technologies that enable their customers to adopt leading-edge Internet solutions and profit from them."
The Covision program integrates leading Internet-based applications, HP computer technology, and services from select Internet-ready resellers, systems integrators and ISPs to provide customers with the products and services they need for success on the Internet. The Covision portfolios now include 104 application and channel partners.

Partner Portfolios Expanded
Each of the Covision application partners announced today fall into one of the Covision "Five C's": Control, Content, Communication, Collaboration and Commerce. New application partners include:

designed to scale Web-site performance and availability;
-- AltiGen Communications -- Windows NT(R)-based telephone system
providing advanced PBX, voice mail, auto-attendant, e-mail
functionality, ACD and Internet integration;
-- ArrowPoint Communications Inc. -- high-performance, URL-based Web
switching and traffic management for business-critical e-commerce
and online content sites;
-- GTE IP TELECOM Fax Service -- Internet protocol fax services
leverage existing corporate data networks and simplify corporate
communications;
-- IPivot, Inc. -- intelligent Internet load balancers increase
reliability, scalability, performance and quality of service of
e-commerce and enterprise Web sites;
-- Labrador Software, Inc. -- E-Retriever corporate portal
navigation solution using intranet keywords to simplify Web
content and application retrieval;
-- Sane Solutions, LLC -- Internet-usage tracking software,
including the NetTracker line of log-file analysis tools;
-- Symantec Visual Cafe -- robust Java(TM)-development environment
providing an open platform for integration of existing systems,
applications and tools;
-- TimesTen Performance Software -- in-memory database technology,
enabling real-time Internet applications;
-- Vectrix Corporation -- total e-commerce solution allowing
businesses and VARs to easily and affordably create and manage
custom, interactive e-commerce Web applications; and
-- Worldtalk Corporation -- e-mail security- and policy-management
solutions that protect messaging systems and reduce corporate
liability.
