CORRECTION/BCE Emergis Strengthens Board of Directors; Jean Monty Joins Board, Bill Anderson Appointed Chairman

MONTREAL, Quebec--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 1999--BCE Emergis (TSE:IFM) (ME:IFM) today announced changes to its Board of Directors, reflecting the growing significance of electronic commerce to BCE, which owns 68 per cent of the company.
Jean C. Monty, President and Chief Executive Officer of BCE Inc. and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bell Canada, joins the BCE Emergis Board of Directors, effective March 31, 1999. BCE Chief Financial Officer, Bill Anderson, will become Chairman of the BCE Emergis Board and Gedas A. Sakus, formerly President Technology at Nortel Networks will also become a board member.
