SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 1999--
Classic Custom Vacations has introduced Classic Spain and Classic Portugal as an extension of the Classic Europe product line.
Classic has carefully selected 26 elegant, luxurious hotels and resorts unique in location, service and character to launch its Iberian Peninsula presence.
Classic Spain and Classic Portugal offer customized vacations to two enchanting countries rich with heritage, sights and contemporary attractions. Both are alive with traditions developed over the years from the imprints of different civilizations. Classic can design a Spain or Portugal vacation for travelers of every interest, age and experience level with top-rated hotels in both countries complemented by optional tours and activities.
Some of the hotels featured in the Classic Spain and Classic Portugal program are the Hotel Casa Imperial in Seville, a restored 16th-century mansion with 24 rooms, each decorated in a different style; the Hotel Claris in Barcelona, a former neo-classical palace with unique avant-garde style decoration; and the luxurious Lapa Palace, located in the heart of Lisbon.
Classic will arrange customized sightseeing tours for individual travelers. These private sedan or limousine tours are tailored to the traveler's individual interests and pace. Private half-day or full-day tours include a car and English-speaking driver and can accommodate up to three people. A licensed personal guide can accompany travelers for an additional fee. Private tours can include a general city tour or a specific tour of a particular site. In addition, Classic also offers daily excursions to Spain and Portugal's most famous sites including Toledo, Fatima, the Estoril Coast and Obidos.
"Spain and Portugal together offer rich vacation experiences, cultural exploration and carefree diversions," said Ron Letterman, CEO and President of Classic Custom Vacations. "We are excited to bring our more than 20 years of experience in providing the best individualized vacations to Hawaii, North America, the Caribbean and Europe to Spain and Portugal, along with a brand of customer service that is unrivaled in the travel industry," he added.
Classic Custom Vacations offers vacation components -- air, car, hotel, activities, transfers -- which can be individually selected by travelers to create the perfect vacation. Classic then combines these components and offers them at package prices. Every traveler receives a personalized ticket wallet with individualized itinerary and destination information enclosed.
Classic vacations to Hawaii, North America, Caribbean, and Europe, including Spain and Portugal, are available exclusively through travel agents.
